Inversion of geophysical data

We use Bayesian approach for inversion of geophysical data. This provides a common framework when integrating rock physics and structural geology with geophysical data. We have experience with seismic amplitudes (AVO), seismic traveltime, controlled source electromagnetic and magnetotelluric data.

The GIG Consortium - Geophysical Inversion to Geology
GIG is a consortium focusing on statistical geophysical inversion hosted by Norwegian Computing Center. The Consortium shall develop new understanding, algorithms and prototype software for obtaining reservoir parameters from geophysical measurements such as seismic surveys.
CRAVA - Elastic Inversion of Seismic Amplitudes
CRAVA calculates elastic properties such as density, P- and, S-velocity from seismic amplitude cubes. Input data are amplitude cubes stacked at different angles.
MonCO2 - Monitoring Geological CO2 storage
Improved quantitative prediction of the spatial distributions of CO2 in subsurface storage.
PCUBE - The probability of hydrocarbons from seismic data
PCUBE computes the probabilities for different lithology-fluid classes from seismic data and geological knowledge. The method use stochastic rock physics relations between elastic parameters and lithology-fluid classes.
Prospect risking using CSEM data
We use Bayesian methodology to compute the probability for hydrocarbon presence based on the information in the controlled source electromagnetic (CSEM) data.
