Research, development, and innovation

The goals of applied research and development (R&D) are new knowledge and application of knowledge in noval ways. The knowledge can in turn be exploited for innovation, that is, a new product or improvement of an existing service. Added value can also be achieved by a better market position and advanced use, which can be the result of a better understanding of the product itself, its area of use, as well as relevant markets and target groups.

Lab

In our lab, we can carry out user tests with special equipment, and under controlled conditions. For instance, on desktop we combine screen recording with special logging and analysis software, such that we are able to see all interaction on the screen, all user input in terms of keyboard, mouse, etc. together with the user's face during user tests and focus group sessions. Where beneficial, we apply eye tracking to track a user's eye movements on all kinds of screens and in various environments.
