The main objective of the project is:

• Enhancing the measuring, reporting and verification (MRV) of forests in Tanzania through the application of advanced remote sensing techniques

Sub-objectives

• Provide satellite images in a state ready for analysis in a streamlined fashion.
• Provide methods to map forest areas and forest area changes on a yearly basis for the whole of Tanzania.
• Prepare for the use of the upcoming Sentinel-1/2/3 satellites.
